Punam Chowdhury is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine. She works in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Emergency Department in La Jolla. She is also Assistant Professor at UCSD and regularly teaches medical students and residents in training. Her research is in biomarkers in heart failure patients and she has published in multiple journals. Her most recent manuscript is being published by the Current Cardiology Reports.
