With a doctorate in organizational psychology, Dr. Marissa has been speaking, coaching and facilitating to hundreds of Fortune 500 companies like Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Cedars-Sinai, AT&T, Mattel, Toyota and Bank of America for the past 21 years. A former graduate school professor–at Boston University Brussels, European Business School, and the Anderson Graduate School of Management UCLA, she has since retired from teaching to write, commentate, and speak. Her weekly talk radio show “Take My Advice, I’m Not Using It: Get Balanced with Dr. Marissa broadcasts out of Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood and reaches over 20 thousand listeners answering Questions like, “Why Am I not Happy?; “Are Men Really from Mars?” and “Do I look Fat in This?” with past Oprah guests like Fran Drescher, Dr. John Gray, Dr. Pat Allen, Melody Beattie, and Dr. Don Miguel Ruiz. She has a myriad of Balance Bar Products, a children’s book illustrated by her daughters, “Mommy What are Feelings?”, daily inspirational cards “52 Card Pick (Me) Ups: Stacking the Deck for Life Balance with Dr. Marissa” and a DVD “Balance Tai Qi Qong: Promoting Inner Peace, One Breath at a Time. Dr. Marissa is also a TV commentator featured on numerous ABC, Fox, Discovery and Learning Channel TV specials, speaking on various aspects of human dynamics including, ‘why people do strange things at work! Dr. Marissa won the 2012 Asian Entrepreneur of the Year, the 2005 Role Model of the Year in Business and Media Award and the 2007 Remarkable Woman of the Year Award. In her not so spare time she runs a 21 Day Fast from Complaining Event on Facebook (grown from 40 to over 800), has 3 original songs available at Amazon.com, sails competitively, but her favorite job is a mom to 2 beautiful girls, Chloe and Sarah.
